As a wedding videographer in Tulsa, I have the privilege of capturing some of the most special and meaningful moments of a couple's life. And when it comes to finding the perfect Tulsa wedding venue where wedding photographers and videographers can get beautiful shots, this location is one that always comes up.
About This Venue
This venue is just outside of Tulsa in Catoosa. They describe the venue as rustic and romantic. The have two areas for the bridal party to prepare, a chapel for ceremonies, a reception area that can hold 150+ guests and lots of places outside to take photos.
Benefits
Comfortable Grooms Lounge Area
It’s sad that this needs to be on this list. But I’ve been to so many Tulsa wedding venues where the groom’s area is small or in some cases, nonexistent. If your groom and groomsmen are going to be getting ready at the venue, you’ll be pleased to know that there is space for 5-7 men to lounge comfortably. There is also a foosball table to entertain as the men wait on the women to finish getting dolled up.
Close To Entertainment
Bella Donna isn’t even five minutes from the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Resort. If you have a wedding party and guests that are coming from out of town, your wedding day could easily be a wedding weekend with tons of fun and entertainment and minimum complications trying to figure out transportation to different locations.
Limitations
Patio
The patio area is genuinely nice. Wedding photographers will be able to take some amazing pictures there. I also like to use it for all of my first looks whenever I shoot there. However, due to its size, I don’t think it has much practical use other than that.
Pillars
There are a few pillars in the reception hall. This is only a problem if you set up tables in such a way that guests will not be able to see what is going on up front. It is a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience, nonetheless.
Why I Love It
When I walk into The Bella Donna, I'm always struck by the beauty and elegance of the space. The chapel itself is sophisticated with lofty ceilings and huge windows. The reception hall is a nice size for a large number of guests and it has a nice outdoor patio that provides flexibility for photos and videos. As a videographer, I know that these features will make for some absolutely stunning and memorable shots. It’s also worth stating that since this is one of my preferred places to shoot wedding videos, I give a lower rate. And yes…that was a shameless plug. Good luck finding your perfect venue.
